    Principal dancers

    Rafael Estévez

    Disciple of Carlos Robles, Manolo Marín and Merche Esmeralda, he becomes part of Merche Esmeralda´s company as first dancer, and as soloist in “Compañía Manolete” and “Pura Pasión” of Joaquín Cortés, under the direction of Cristóbal Reyes, with whom Rafael will collaborate in the future. He shares stage with artists such as Paco Toronjo, El Grilo, Milagros Menjibar la Tati, Manuel Soler, José Mercé, Niña de la Puebla, Juana Amaya, Isabel Bayón and the Bolsoi Theatre Ballet from Moscow. He signs together with Antonio Canales the choreography of the show “Las Mil y Una Noches”.
     
    Over an original idea of his own Rafael directs and creates the choreography of the show “De Puertas Adentro” for María Vivó (2004). He is the artistic director of Rocío Molina´s show “Entre Paredes”, and also for her Rafael makes the choreography of “Alegrías”. He has choreographed dancers such as Daniel Navarro, Mayte Bajo, Olga Pericet, Esther Jurado, Leonor Leal, or Fuensanta la Moneta. In 2006 Rafael makes the choreography and directs together with Javier Latorre “Homenaje a Fosforito” and “Homenaje al Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Córdoba” (2007). He directs and creates the choreography of the show “Khalo Caló” based on the painter Frida Khalo.
