Nani Paños
Disciple of Eva Leyva, Nuria Leyva, and Araleo Moyano, Nani also studies with Javier Latorre, and completes his formative years with masters such as Rosa Naranjo, Maestro Granero, Manolete, and Carmina Ocaña, amongst others. Nani then enlists the Compañia de Danza Andaluza. As a soloist he dances with José Antonio and the Spanish ballets, Blanca del Rey, Antonio Márquez, Aida Gómez, Manolete, and many others. Nani becomes a member of the Spanish National Ballet from 1998 to 2000.
He receives the Outstanding Dancer award at the X Spanish and Flamenco Dancing Choreography Contest in Madrid. Nani also performs as a soloist in “Triana, en el Nombre de la Rosa” and “Rinconete y Cortadillo”, both shows of Javier Latorre. He is invited to perform on the International Dancing Day (2005), an homage to García Lorca. He takes part in “Homenaje a Fosforito” of Javier Latorre and Rafael Estévez, performing with Rocío Molina, Fuensanta la Moneta, and Daniel Navarro. Nani also composes the choreography of dancers such as María Vivó, Mayte Bajo, Olga Pericet, or Esther Jurado. Nani Paños has danced with Merche Esmeralda at the closure in Sevilla (2006) of the Flamenco Bienal; he performed in “Los Grandes” with Antonio Canales; and also with Merche Esmeralda, and Joaquín Grilo, Fuensanta la Moneta and Manolo Marín, they performed at the Music and Dancing Festival in Granada.
