Ernesto Aurignac
At the age of 8 he got his first saxophone and at 18 he graduated in the Music Conservatory in Malaga. He later studied jazz and modern music at the Music Worksho in Barcelona, where he currently lives.
He has worked with musicians such as Perico Sambeat, Roger Mas, Gerardo Nunez, Marc Miralta, Javier Colina, Mike Mossman and many others. He has performed throughout the Spanish geography and outside with multitude of groups such as Ernesto Aurignac Quartet, Spice Cockles, Arturo Serra Quintet, Sedajazz Latin Ensemble, Fco Caucasian Hispanic tribute to Gerry Mulligan) or Perico Sambeat Flamenco Bigband. He has also collaborated on various recordings: Perico Sambeat Flamenco Bigband, Arthur Serra Quintet, Cadiz Sonora Big Band, among many others.
His experience spans through different styles, from chamber music to big-band; and he also has developed, and continues so, a long teaching career in a variety of music schools as a teacher of jazz saxophone.
